Blue Jays

Blue jays are easy to identify in North Carolina. They can be found all across the state and have blue, black, and grey feathers on their back and wings. Blue jays can be found in forests, but also sometimes parks and urban areas if food is available. They are songbirds, and can also be identified by their song if you know what you are listening for.
