If you look up into the canopy of a forest or even a free-standing tree, it is easy to spot a nest. Birds and squirrels build nests in trees to raise young and stay sheltered. Bird nests are usually smaller than squirrel nests, although some species of bird have very large nests. Squirrel nests use soft matter like grass rather than sticks, and are about the size of a basketball or volleyball.
