Venus Flytraps

Venus flytraps are a unique species that only lives in the subtropical wetlands of North and South Carolina. This is an area close to the coast that stays relatively warm and wet all year. This carnivorous plant eats insects and spiders by trapping them in its mouth-like leaves. The venus flytrap is a vulnerable species due to loss of habitat.
